Well – what can one say – we started with a clear goal but things don’t always work out as planned – and you have to adapt to circumstances.

Road Trip Readiness

Has to be well balanced – and no, the kitchen sink is not hidden in there.

Shake down run this weekend in prep for three weeks on the road. Expect to come back two stone lighter.

Heading to the Sands of the Sahara

Better late than never.

Original 2013 plan did not come to fruition for various reasons.

Departure now planned for May 7th 2014 – joining up with “Trigger ( not dead yet)” near Sheffield and then onto the Channel Tunnel.

Estimate 5-6 days riding to reach Algeciras and then a short hop into Africa and then onwards through the Atlas mountains to the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga and the oases at Zagora.
